Explain quantum tunneling like I am 5.
Imagine a tiny ball trying to roll over a hill, but it doesn't have enough energy to make it. In our normal world, the ball would always roll back. But in the world of really tiny things — atoms and electrons — sometimes the ball just *appears* on the other side, like it borrowed a magic shortcut through the hill. That's quantum tunneling: little particles passing through walls they shouldn't be able to climb over.
